Why Are We Sending Billions To Ukraine & Putting Our Own Defenses At Risk?

As the war in Ukraine continues, with no end in sight, Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro said recently that the U.S. may soon face some tough choices when it comes to supporting Ukraine.

"I think the American people aren't paying attention to this" said Harry Kazianis, president of the Rogue States Project, "And I think for the Biden administration, it's only fair to ask them what's the goal? And to be quite frank, I don't think we have one. I think the goal is just very simply, get all of the Russian's out of all parts of Ukraine, and I don't know if that's really a possibility at this point."

One thing we do know for sure, Congress has given Ukraine nearly $100 billion dollars. But because of a weapon's backlog and shortage, we are helping Ukraine's military, while weakening our own defenses.

"We are putting our own defenses at risk, because this is one of those times the United States has to start making some hard choices" Kazianis told KTRH, "The dirty little secret that nobody wants to talk about here is that the European's are barely giving any money to the Ukraine fight. This is Europe's war, and we need to look in the mirror and say how far are willing to go with this."

In the meantime, we'll have to see how far Republican's can go in halting the spending, and finally demanding some accountability.
