Don’t Expect Mainstream Media To Change Its Tune In 2023

Not only was 2022 a rough year for the economy, and the Biden administration. It was a really bad year for the mainstream media.

"2022 was a pretty poor year performance wise, for the traditional or as I call them, the establishment media" said Jeff McCall, media professor at DePauw University, "A lot of gaffes and mistakes, and they're not doing a very good job because they're too often trying to push agendas."

Pushing, and not reporting. Some of the highlights, or lowlights, from 2022 include, CNN+ lasting for over a month, the meltdown at the Washington Post, and all of the scandals at the once proud, ABC.

"I'm not sure anything's going to change, until these news organizations do some soul searching, and try to figure out how they can actually serve the nation's agenda" McCall told KTRH, "I hope it happens, because we need a return to journalistic standards. There was a time when journalism was more of a profession, and now it's more of a cause, and I think that's a problem."

It's a big problem. And because the mainstream media outlets are owned by the big corporations, losing money with no ratings, no longer matters. Just pushing the propaganda.

A recent PEW Research study found that over half of all journalists don't think it's necessary to cover all sides of a story.
