The constitution crisis in our country. The latest, a pair of ultra liberal professors in an op-ed for the New York Times, wrote that our constitution is "broken", and that we need to do away with it, to "reclaim" America.
One professor was from Harvard, the other from Yale.
"Two law professors with elite backgrounds, teaching at elite law schools, openly repudiating the very constitution they're supposed to be teaching to their students" said Richard Reinsch, scholar with the Heritage Foundation, "That's a scandal, and one more evidence of the betrayal of our elites. It's one part of the reason why we're in the fix that we're in."
The truth of the matter is, the constitution works, and we need it now more than ever.
"It's a constitution that foments and protects commerce, individual liberty" Reinsch told KTRH, "That in dividing power ensures that no one group can actually lord over the others for very long, or if it does they're going to be checked at the next election."
But instead of following the will of the people, the Democrats are now intent to impose their own will, at any cost. It's not the constitution that is broken, it's the blatant disregard to respect it, and follow it, that has led to the fracture of our country.
