The Houston Astros are hosting Uvalde Strong Day today.
The team is giving thousands of tickets to residents of Uvalde as the community continues to recover from the deadly school shooting in May.
500 Uvalde residents are being provided transportation on buses.
The team will have a ceremony before the game against the Oakland Athletics.
Uvalde Strong T-shirts will be available for sale, with all proceeds going to Uvalde Strong efforts.
In early July the Astros Foundation, Astros front office staff, Astros Youth Academy players and staff were among a group that traveled to Uvalde to "brings smiles and give a hug," according to Astros Foundation Executive Director Paula Harris.
It's also Hall of Fame weekend at Minute Maid. First pitch is at 1:10.
