Houston-based rapper Ladesion "213 Jugg God" Riley was arrested in Tennessee for allegedly robbing an ATM technician. According to FOX 26, Riley recently posted a music video to YouTube called "Make it Home". In the video, he raps about robbing ATMs out of state, getting away with it, and making it home.
The Houston Police Officers' Union is giving Riley a hard time, both on social media and in statements made to FOX 26, for rapping about a crime and then getting caught committing it.
Houston Police Officers’ Union tweeted:
“IRONY: When you make a rap song called "Make It Home", about bank jugging and hitting atm's out of state, and then don't make it home... Ladesion "Jugg god" Riley jinxed the whole gang. Great job, again, @MNPDNashville. We're going to miss these four so much.”
HPOU President Doug Griffith tells Fox 26:
"If you’re going to rap about it, then turn around and be about it and get caught, that’s on you. You shouldn’t do stupid crap, and you definitely shouldn’t violate the law and talk about it."
Riley along with Houstonians Darius Dugas, 27, Sashondre Dugas, 32 and Christopher Alton, 27, were arrested after Nashville police say they robbed an ATM technician as he was servicing a Bank of America machine.
“Monday morning, two of the defendants approached the technician from behind and told him to not do anything stupid and hand over the money. Detectives were able to determine that one of the getaway vehicles, a Hyundai Elantra, had been rented from Hertz. Using information provided from Hertz, detectives, with the help of helicopters, discovered the Hyundai and a maroon Jeep that accompanied it parked at the Motel 6 in Dickson. Detectives watched as what appeared to be cash was loaded into the Jeep.
When the Dugas couple and Riley pulled away from the motel in the Jeep, and as Alton drove away in the Hyundai, Dickson Police moved in with the assistance of the MNPD and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The vehicles were pulled over and the four were taken into custody without incident. Cash was also recovered. The four are being charged federally and the FBI is investigating whether they committed similar robberies elsewhere.”
