Police are investigating the deaths of two people at a southeast Houston apartment complex.

Detectives say the decomposed bodies, found Tuesday afternoon in apartment in the 5100 block of Silver Creek Drive near Highway 3, were preliminary identified as those of a man and a woman. They were discovered in separate rooms.
Due to their state of decomposition, any potential injuries to the individuals were not immediately clear. Police said they thought the woman might have been in her mid-50s, and the man may have been younger.
Two detectives were working an unrelated case at the Silver Club Apartments when they were alerted to the deaths.
