POLL QUESTION: Biden's push for electric cars

If you're thinking about switching to an electric vehicle to try and save money on gas? Think again.

First of all, good luck finding an EV, as most are on a 3-month back order (unless you want to completely overpay for a used one). And despite all of the feel good messages from the left, EV's are really not as cost saving as you are being forced to believe.

"The price of EV's are now starting to kind of skyrocket as the price of petroleum goes up" said automotive expert Brian Day, "Russia is the 3rd largest supplier of nickel, and so it has control of the pricing and that's kind of the issue. It doesn't look bright for EV's, as they once thought."

With that said, just how much is a brand new EV is you wanted to get in one? "Those are about $63,000 dollars" Day told KTRH, "That's the issue we're seeing now across the board. A new EV you would have to go to the manufacturer. Getting one to your door is about 3 months or so."

Yet another hypocrisy from the left is, drilling for oil is evil and bad. But digging for lithium and nickel? No problem at all. Unfortunately, we are dependent on those from Russia and China, so the whole EV movement is still decades away from being mainstream.

And what about all of those government tax incentives?

"A lot of these moves are very political, there's an agenda I believe that's surrounding all of this" Day said, "While they're optimistic on these EV credits, there's a lot of things that are being pushed from Washington that they are so disconnected from reality, right now, I think people are in a holding pattern."

Unfortunately, they don't really have a choice.
