It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

Houston is a sprawling, diverse, friendly city with open arms. Harvey exposed a side of Houston that isn’t always apparent on the surface: our willingness to be there for one another.

HomeAdvisor surveyed 2,200 Americans in the 25 biggest cities in America to find out which cities have the most and least annoying neighbors as well as most annoying neighbor habits. 

Findings:

  • 92% of Houston residents consider themselves to be good neighbors.
  • 62% of Houston residents surveyed know most or all of their neighbors, and 58% consider them to be friends. 
  • Houston is home to the 4th least annoying neighbors in America according to residents. 
  • The top complaint Houston residents have about their neighbors is for having loud parties. 
  • Things neighbors are most likely to argue about: 1. Parking 2. Loud parties 3. Bad attitude or grumpiness.
