Texas Parks and Wildlife says some big changes are in store for Galveston Island State Park this summer.
The park will have 125 campsites, including beachside sites with water and electricity.
There will be RV sites and historic rental houses on the bayside, as well as bayside kayak launches and day use pavilions.
New beachside features will include boardwalks with rinse-off showers and changing stations, a vendor area, a hiking trail, a headquarters, restrooms, and equestrian parking.
The opening date hasn't been set just yet.
