Construction is underway on the new corporate headquarters of Shipley Do-Nuts.
Groundbreaking took place on Thursday for the 60-thousand-square-foot building on Cullen at the Gulf Freeway.
The Houston-born doughnut chain was founded 85-years ago.
The new facility is on the site of the former Finger Furniture flagship showroom, as well as Buff Stadium, home of the minor-league Houston Buffalos from 1928 to 1961.
The headquarters is scheduled to open late next year.
