VIDEO: Woman with personal mic on airliner rants about COVID

An unruly airline passenger, who brought her own amplified microphone aboard a commercial flight this week, was captured on video ranting about the COVID-19 pandemic.

Self-described singer-songwriter Jawny posted the scene on TikTok, so far racking up more than 2 million views.

"I bought in-flight Wi-Fi just to post this," Jawny noted in the video. "We are in the air right now."

In the video, flight attendants tell the unidentified woman that if she doesn’t return to her seat they will be forced to cuff her.

"I don't need to be cuffed," she says. "I'm completely harmless. Also, I think you're all enjoying this because, like I said, I'm not terrible to look at."

The woman goes on to claim the pandemic started because people can’t distinguish between the internet and reality.

Reports of disruptive airline passengers have soared since the start of the pandemic, many related to the virus and mask requirements. More than 4,725 reports have been filed this year, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
