Following a year and a half hiatus and too many hours spent sitting on the couch Ironman Texas is back today. It is the triathlon in the Woodlands and it will lead to road closures as athletes tackle a 2.4 mile swim, then 112 miles on a bike and then a 26.2 mile run. The Hardy Toll Road closing at 3 a.m. thru 6 p.m.
Expect closures:
The southbound main lanes from IH-45 to IH-610 on the Hardy Toll Road
All southbound entrance ramps
The northbound Northgate exit ramp
The westbound Airport Connector and westbound entrance ramps.
