A favorite fall activity returns to the Houston Zoo next month.
Starting on October 1st, the "Zoo Boo" Halloween celebration gets underway. There is pumpkin carving, the Giant Pumpkin and the Spooky Train; a lantern tunnel between the lions and tigers, oh my; special photo places for great pictures - costumes always suggested but not required.
Regular 9-5 business hours through October 31st, last entry at 4pm.
In addition, a special after-hours event will be held only on Friday, October 29th.
That will run until 8:30 in the evening. Reservation and ticket purchase are all online.
