Gov. Greg Abbott is highly critical of President Joe Biden's order mandating large businesses to require vaccines or weekly coronavirus tests of their employees.
Biden announced the order on Thursday.
Abbott has resisted vaccine mandates in Texas, barring local governments and school districts from enacting their own.
He denounced Biden's move as a "power grab."
Biden's order involves businesses with more than 100 employees, meaning about 80-million American workers will be affected.
Abbott encourages Texans to be vaccinated, but says nobody should be forced to do so.
