With inflight altercations over mask mandates continuing, several airline CEOs suggest doing away with the federal policy to help diffuse the situation.
President Biden signed an executive order requiring masks on all public transportation to protect both passengers and employees, but aviation expert Jay Ratliff says the sharp rise of inflight incidents has airlines rethinking the policy.
“Most people are living in parts of the country where masks are not required and then they get to the airport, they're required, they're frustrated and their taking out that frustration on employees,” he says.
“TSA agents in Denver had a passenger bite two people going through the security checkpoint, so it's not just isolated to airline individuals.”
That leads to the poll question today.
