At least 16 people were injured, three of them seriously, when illegal fireworks from a Los Angeles home exploded Wednesday evening.
Several nearby homes and cars were also damaged when part of the 5,000-pound cache, being ghauled away by a police bomb squad, blew up on a truck, demolishing the vehicle.
Six people were taken to a hospital, three with serious injuries
One man was arrested for possessing fireworks and for child endangerment since two children were found at the home, police said.
Some of the fireworks appeared to be large devices used for commercial displays.
