Randy Lemmon Consulting & Speaking Gigs

Yeah, this week’s profile is kind of about me!

Now that COVID-19 restrictions seem to be loosening, I’m seeing an increase in consulting requests and inquiries about speaking to garden clubs, HOAs and other groups. So, here’s some info on those activities.

Speaking Gigs

I had to cancel or postpone a lot of speaking engagements from March 2020 until last month, thanks to the pandemic. But I’m sensing that many groups are interested in events again and are looking for speakers.

So, if you’re the person in your garden club, homeowners association, community association, or trade group who books speakers, I’m very comfortable with joining you for a talk. Just send me an email at randy@ktrh.com and we can work on an availability. Please put “Speaker Request” in the subject line and try to give me alternate dates to consider.

There may be fees involved, and I will reply with a complete package explaining them and available dates. Sometimes, though, the fee can be lowered significantly or eliminated altogether, depending on the size of your crowd. If, for example, if you have an attendance of 150 or more, I usually waive the fee because I’m pretty sure a number of people in the gathering will purchase my book while I’m there. If you need further clarification on that or have any questions about me speaking to your group, just ask in your email.

Randy Lemmon Consulting

Thanks to February’s freeze, my consulting business experienced a major increase in activity. I’m still doing a few this month and in early July, but I have always put consulting jobs on the back burner during the summer due to family commitments. If you can wait two months, I will be ready again to start booking on-site consultations from late August forward. There are a couple of fee structures, depending on whether you want an on-site consult or a full-blown writeup.

Again, just send an email request to randy@ktrh.com and write “Consulting” in the subject line. I’ll reply with a package explaining how it works and what it costs.

Randy Lemmon Consulting is for true do-it-yourselfers who want to take care of their own landscape, but need advice on what stays and what goes, what’s working and not working, and how to fix situations on their own with some education. It is not a landscape design service – just assistance with diagnostics and marching orders for when you simply don’t know where to start.

Randy Lemmon Consulting also works with horticultural businesses, such as landscape companies. They often reach out to me for help in making changes in cultural practices so they can work well with homeowners and gardeners who follow my advice. I’m open to those types of consultations at any time of year, and there is always time on my calendar. Commercial inquiries can also be sent through email with “Consulting” in the subject line.
