Several people were reported injured Sunday night when a car veered off course during a mud bog event in Fabens, near El Paso. Three were critically hurt.
Media reports indicated eight people were injured, including five who were taken to a hospital.
Video on social media shows the race car careening toward onlookers.
The track is about 40 miles southeast of El Paso, about a mile from the Mexican border.
