Details are scant about a crippling cyber-attack on Colonial Pipeline, the largest pipeline in the U.S., which transports more than 100 million gallons of fuel from Texas Gulf Coast refineries to the east coast daily.
It was shut down Friday, the company said in a statement, without addressing reopening.
The FBI and the National Security Council have not provided answers.
The company is based in Alpharetta, Georgia, and says they hired extra security to handle the cyber assault.
Colonial Pipeline provides roughly 45% of all fuel for the east coast.
