The Sherman area is expected to see more jobs following a new deal between Apple and II-VI, pronounced Two-Six.
Sherman is a town north of Dallas with a population of about 40,000. Apple's Advance Manufacturing fund is giving 410-million dollars to the optical technology manufacturer.
The two companies originally teamed up in 2017 to turn an abandoned building into a high-tech facility.
This week's deal means 700 jobs will be split up between Sherman, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and New Jersey.
