A 12-foot alligator was taken captive Wednesday along a creek near Clear Lake's North Pointe Elementary School. The gator, apparently not afraid of people, was considered a danger to children who walk to and from school near the creek. Parks and Wildlife officials said they planned to release the animal in a Brazoria County preserve.
