Not only is he the highest paid federal employee at over $417,000. Dr. Anthony Fauci has become an idol for Hollywood, and the corporate media.
Follow the science they say, even when it's wrong.
It's been over a month since Governor Greg Abbott re-opened Texas to 100%. It was also a month ago, right afterwards, that Dr. Fauci said Texas was heading for "imminent disaster".
Not only did disaster -not- happen. The Covid numbers here in Texas have completely plummeted.
When asked about it last week on CNN, Fauci went from a double mask, to a double take. "It can be confusing because you may see a lag and a delay, because often you have to wait a few weeks before you see the effect of what you're doing right now. I'm not really sure."
Local Houston doctor Richard Urso is sure, and was sure as he told KTRH. "No, I don't think the data is confusing" Urso said about Fauci, "They're not the narrative he was hoping for, and maybe that's where he's confused. We were pretty confident we would have herd immunity about a month ago."
So if Dr. Fauci continues to be wrong, why do we continue to listen to him? Dr. Urso says it's not because of the science or data. "Media promotion is something that is real and it's effective. They trot him out there, he looks like a nice person, he's got a nice smile, and he's been merchandised in a way that makes him appear like an authority."
Apparently :15 minutes of fame is a lot better than 15 days to slow the spread.
