As millions of Texans continue to wait for their power, and some answers, one thing we now know is on the way. A higher electricity bill! The Electric Reliability Council Of Texas - ERCOT says it's due to high demand from this epic winter storm. Vance Ginn of the Texas Public Policy Foundation told KTRH, "It doesn't look good from a publicity point of view" adding that basically we are all going to pay, for ERCOT's mistakes. "The combination of a lot of mistakes that have been made that need to be looked at, from the market to ERCOT, to really figure out where we're at because this excess demand will lead to substantially higher prices at a time when people are already suffering quite a bit". The rates increases are expected to last for several months. One plus, there are caps in place as to how high they can go.
