President Biden is promising to rescind a number of former President Trump's pro-life policies.
January is known by many in the pro-life community as “Celebration of Life Month”. However, you wouldn't know be able to tell from the new administration. On Friday, President Biden tweeted his support of Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court case that legalized abortion. Even more concerning for pro-lifers, his appointment of cabinet members who support tax dollars funding and promoting abortion.
“Rolling back regulations on chemical abortions, codifying Roe v. Wade, allowing abortion up until the moment of birth and after birth, and these are all very worrisome potential policies,” Rebecca Parma, legislative associate with Texas Right to Life, told KTRH.
Parma said strong pro-life leaders at the state level, like Governor Greg Abbott and Attorney General Ken Paxton, are pushing back.
“President Trump enacted a lot of strong pro-life policies while he was in office,” Parma added. “One of the greatest legacies he leaves is a very strong judiciary, not just at the Supreme Court, but all the way throughout the court system.”
