POLL QUESTION: Will we know who won tomorrow?

While much of the focus is on the White House and U.S. Senate races, Texas Democrats also want to flip several congressional seats and possibly the entire state house.

Rice University's Mark Jones says two congressional races in the Houston area are getting the most attention both locally and at the national level.

“Troy Nehls and Sri Preston Kulkarni both have an equal prospect of victory, and I think that's one that could be decided by one or two points,” he says. “There's a Democratic-leaning race with Lizzie Fletcher favored over Wesley Hunt, although Hunt has the possibility of victory.”

“For Dan Crenshaw to lose in TX-2, it would require a pretty epic meltdown for the Texas Republican Party,” Jones added. “That's always possible, but I think Crenshaw is in pretty good shape for victory, although by a margin that's smaller than he would like.”
