Although her vote did not affect the outcome, Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) made it clear Monday night that the confirmation of Judge Amy Coney Barrett for the U.S. Supreme Court was not her preference. Hirono turned her thumbs down and said, “Hell, no” as she voted.
All Republicans, except for Sen. Susan Collins of Maine, voted in favor of the confirmation; every Democrat opposed it.
