WATCH: Fans boo players in social justice filled NFL season opener

The NFL said they would do it, and they followed through.

Last night's season opener between the Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs was filled with social justice messaging.

It started with the pre-game show. There were decals on player helmets. There was other messaging on the field.

Then there was the national anthem. The Texans stayed in the locker room for that. The Chiefs were on the field. One player knelt.

After the anthem and the playing of "Lift Every Voice and Sing," players from both teams got together in the middle of the field for a unity moment. Fans at Arrowhead Stadium reacted.

Check it out below, along with other social justice themed videos from the opener. You can read more HERE.
