Controversial doctor doubles down on claims; Mayor takes shot at Trump

Even though there are some positive COVID-19, Mayor Sylvester Turner continued to push what some consider a narrative of fear.

While announcing his 'Better Together' plan to educate people about the virus, Turner had to admit some numbers were going down. But he still pushed his agenda.

"We've noticed the number start to decrease a little but, but quite frankly testing is vital to getting control of this virus," Turner said.

And then there was a shot at President Trump for Tweeting that keeping low-income housing out of the suburbs would lower crime, raise home values.

"Some times too much hydroxychloroquine will just do things to you. Stay away from it. That's all I can tell you. I'm offended by the statement," Turner stated.

Elsewhere the controversial Houston doctor who says the drug works against COVID-19 is doubling down on her claims. Stella Immanuel told our TV partner Channel 2 that the drug works.

"It eradicates the symptoms. It eradicates the virus. It is a cure," Immanuel said. You can watch the rest of that interview below.
