Some Houston area front-line workers are getting a bonus! The board of directors for the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County approved a one-time $1.8 million payment for workers who have been on the front-lines during the early months of the COVID-19 Crisis.
The board voted unanimously to approve the payment, worth the equivalent of $150 per week for full-time employees and $75 per week for part-time employees for the working days from March 22-May 2, 2020.
