Texas colleges and universities aren't lowering their tuition this fall, even though most classes are online because of the pandemic.
Students and their parents are grumbling about the situation.
UT Austin says the cost for in-person and virtual classes is the same.
Texas A&M says its tuition isn't changing, and at Rice, it's going up.
At UH, there's only a three-dollar difference between online and in-person classes.
But in-person fees include 244-dollars for access to recreation and wellness facilities that may not even open.
Out-of-town students are stuck with apartment leases they don't need if they're not going to campus.
