If you missed out on the rain yesterday, don't worry. You'll probably get some today.
A tropical wave just off the Texas coast ran out of time to develop into something stronger, and is making its way through Texas today. Wendy Wong with the National Weather Service says it will give us a good soaking.
"It's producing some decent rainfall, especially along the coast," Wong said. "We are expecting this to move inland through the day, with the best rain chances being south of Conroe."
Wong says the forecast is calling for most areas to see 1-2 inches of rain, but some spots could get hit with 3-5 inches.
There is a second tropical wave that is expected to get to Texas later this week. This one has a 30% chance of developing into either a depression or weak end tropical storm. The time frame on that rain event would be from Thursday night into Saturday morning.
