Texas is in the midst of what may be the second driest July on record, so word of a chance of rain is being taken as welcome news by most.
There is a tropical wave east of Cuba in the Atlantic that is projected to move into the Gulf of Mexico mid-week and bring an inch or so of rain to Texas be the end of the work week.
When the system arrives in the Gulf it will find very warm waters, water temperatures in the mid to upper 80’s contributing to the possibility of tropical development.
We will be tracking any formation closely at KTRH and will keep you apprised as the week progresses.
