Turner, Hidalgo remain quiet on march that could spread COVID-19

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner has asked Governor Greg Abbott for the authority to take more action to stop the spread of COVID-19. Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo has openly talked about her desire to shut the county down again. They both have spoken out against crowded bars and people acting as if the pandemic is over.

Yet, when 60-thousand marched for George Floyd they said nothing. And they aren't saying anything about the march over the weekend to honor Fort Hood solider Vanessa Guillen, the native Houstonian who went missing in April, and whose remains were found last week.

Certainly if there was one person at the march that had the virus, it is possible that the person could spread it.

But Turner was quiet about the march. So was Hidalgo.
