Trump says he's taking hydroxychloroquine to prevent getting sick (VIDEO)

President Trump has been talking about the malaria drug hydroxychloroquine for weeks. He's taken the talk and turned it into action.

On Monday, Trump told reporters he’s taking hydroxychloroquine in an effort to prevent getting coronavirus, saying he’s been taking a pill every day for about a week and a half.

"I'm taking it – hydroxychloroquine," the president told reporters during a roundtable with restaurant leaders in the White House’s State Dining Room.

He added: "I think it's good. I've heard a lot of good stories. And, if it's not good, I'll tell you right, I'm not going to get hurt by it."

A Trump valet has tested positive for the virus. The press secretary for Vice President Mike Pence is positive as well. These are people who have had contact with the President, which may be why he has pursued this.
