Fryer Feature: Chris the Houston Trucker

Folks all across the country, who follow Houston’s Morning News on our Facebook Live broadcast, are now familiar with the saga of Chris the trucker.

Since the stay at home orders were set in March, Chris, from northwest Houston, has only spent 2 days at home. He is an essential worker, keeping the supply chain open and we’ve followed him as he has crisscrossed the country carrying supplies where needed.Ice cream from California to stores in Baltimore. Powdered chocolate from Pennsylvania to yet another ice cream producer in Iowa. He has made challenging drives from the Pacific Coast to Atlanta while tornadoes and severe storms raged.

I can’t remember what he hauled from Atlanta to Minnesota, but I know he brought grocery supplies from up north here to Houston, where he finally saw his family for those 2 days. But then Chris took frozen, processed rabbit meat to Wisconsin, where he picked up cheese products.

He’s en route with that to San Diego now and told us of his incredible drive through the Virgin River Gorge, AZ.
