Marc Sherman's voice is familiar to many Houston radio listeners. He spent years on sister station Sunny 99.1 with Dana Tyson. And like thousands of people in the Greater Houston area, Sherman fought a battle he never expected to; one with COVID-19.
Sherman told Jimmy Barrett and Shara Fryer on KTRH that this all started in the middle of March, when his sister-in-law contracted the virus. And despite taking every precaution possible, Sherman says he and his wife both came down with the disease.
"It was all about minimizing any kind of risk; washing hands, ad the social distancing. We as a family took that very seriously. We can't pinpoint any one thing that we came into contact with that led us to this," Sherman told Houston's Morning News.
Sherman and his wife are feeling better. That's the good news. The bad news is that the Sherman family remains in quarantine.
"The county requires us to have two negative tests with a 24-hour gap in between the two tests in order to leave the house. With our kid testing positive this week, that test that we are going to have isn't going to happen anytime soon.
