Earlier this week, Kroger Houston and The Kroger Co. Zero Hunger | Zero Waste Foundation presented Interfaith of the Woodlands with a check for $25,000 to help support the fight against hunger in our communities.

Zero Hunger | Zero Waste Foundation, for your generous support of Interfaith of The Woodlands' COVID-19 Community Response,” said Missy Herndon, President and CEO of Interfaith of the Woodlands. “We truly appreciate your heart for our neighbors most in need, as well as each and every one of your team members who work to keep your stores open during these very difficult times.”
The donation will help provide 500 families with enough groceries to prepare 6 meals.
“We are pleased to be able to support several hundred local families in need through this donation,” said Joe Kelley, president of Kroger Houston division. “We recognize that this is a difficult time for many of our neighbors, and it’s critical that we not only step in to do our part in the fight against hunger, but to help raise awareness in our stores.”
The donation joins a recent commitment of $100,000 from The Kroger Co. Zero Hunger | Zero Waste Foundation to the Greater Houston COVID-19 Recovery Fund as well as $3Million to Feeding America and No Kid Hungry, benefiting local food banks.
Customers can help in the fight against hunger at any Kroger store by choosing to Round Up their total to the nearest dollar or donating $1, $5 or $10 to The Kroger Co. Zero Hunger | Zero Waste Foundation.
