Not only are Houstonians encouraged to work from home and stay at home as much as possible – they are losing the Alley Theater season. The Tony Award-winning theater company in Houston has just laid off 75 percent of its employees. It's all due to “the effects of the virus on the Alley’s financial stability." Those staff members will have fully paid health benefits through June 30. Some of the remaining staff will take pay cuts.
The Alley Theatre also cancelled the remainder of its 2019-20 season,
