Fryer Feature: Supplies for the Demand

That phrase “necessity is the mother of invention” certainly applies, with word today that some American distilleries, including one in Houston, are diverting some production of alcohol into liquor to alcohol into the much-in-demand hand sanitizer.

Gulf Coast Distillers makes liquor, beer, and coffee at its east Houston plant. The company last week got a federal permit to produce hand sanitizer and isopropyl alcohol.
