Fryer Feature: Best Practices?

Every successful organization is aware of the need for plans, ongoing plans and contingency plans usually referred to as “best practices.” For America, that plan or outline has been the Constitution. The laws by Congress and other legislative bodies and interpretations of them by the judiciary; we would like to think are best practices at work.

But they are being tested for all to see as federal, state and local legislatures, agencies and courts and elected executives react to the coronavirus. The Governor of Texas declared emergency quickly,a and the President did too, while Nancy Pelosi’s House dithered on a bill. And as the media fed panic to the public, we are discovering what our own best practices with our homes and families will bring. It would be interesting to observe if there weren’t so much at stake.

Be watchful. For instance the Mayors of both New Orleans and Champaign, Illinois have outlawed gun purchases and transportation under the emergency of coronavirus?
