The Governor wants your grocery store shelves stocked.
In fact, he wants trucks from the alcohol industry to be used to deliver grocery supplies to your favorite stores. To do that, he waived laws that disallow the use.
Governor Abbott comments, "This is yet another example of the private sector stepping up and Texans helping Texans as we all work to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 in our state."
"By waiving these regulations, we are streamlining the process to replenish the shelves in grocery stores across the state." Abbott reminds us that hoarding is not necessary and it's not productive.
