Texas Creates Human Trafficking Task Force

A task force created by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation will be looking into suspected human trafficking operations.

When they complete their training, the eight-members of the Anti-trafficking Unit will work with police agencies to investigate suspicious nail salons, massage parlors, and other businesses.

Labor trafficking involves making the victims work 14-hour days with no time off.

The workers are often forced to live on the premises.

Massage parlors are often involved in forced prostitution.
