There's no accounting for what the American people will buy sometimes.
Nike released a new Colin Kaepernick shoe on Monday and the product sold out in minutes.
The shoes also contain a not so subtle message to the NFL.
The date, "08 14 16," is on the sole of the right shoe.
According to reports, that the date is significant because it is the first time Kaepernick refused to stand during the playing of the national anthem.
Kaepernick hasn't played in the NFL since the 2016 season. He recently had a much publicized 'workout,' but hasn't been signed by any NFL team.
