Retirements are leaving Republicans vulnerable in 2020. But some incumbents need to be worried as well, if you believe the polling.
According to Roll Call, Democratic polling shows incumbents like Mike McCaul could be in trouble. Republican strategist Vlad Davidiuk tells KTRH this could be a replay of 2018.
"Other districts have similar dynamics in place. Republicans have to be cognizant about it. They have to be proactive about it," Davidiuk explained.
The polling shows McCaul with a 32% job approval rating, and 37% disapproval. Chip Roy is mentioned as another vulnerable Republican incumbent.
"Every Republican needs to run is if they are in trouble," he explained. The old saying is that you either run unopposed or you run scared."
