It's tough to watch your children grow up, especially as they leave the nest and head off to college. But parents can rest a little easier knowing their kids are heading to some of the safest campuses in the country.
According to data from home security website A Secure Life, ten Texas colleges rank among the 100 Safest College Campuses.
Sam Houston State University in Huntsville is tops in Texas, ranking 28th on the list. Other Texas schools include UTSA (30), UT-Rio Grande Valley (31), Texas Woman's University (38), Texas Tech (66), University of North Texas (77), UT-Austin (79), Baylor (95), UT-Dallas (97), and Texas A&M (98).
The safest college in America was Touro College in New York City.
