Mayor Sylvester Turner is signing an executive order to adopt Vision Zero with a goal to end traffic deaths in Houston by 2030.
The mayor is joined by other elected officials, local community leaders and mobility partners.
Signing of the Vision Zero Executive Order sets a commitment to end traffic deaths in Houston by 2030.
It also requires the collaboration and leadership of city departments, public and private agencies, non-profit groups, and the community to develop a comprehensive and holistic Vision Zero strategy.
