The mainstream media is going back to their playbook from 2016. They are trying to make it sound like, and make you think, that Republicans have no chance in next year’s election.
Axios claims there is not one demographic trend that helps Republicans. Texas Senator John Cornyn doesn't believe that, but says since the mainstream media is pushing that narrative, Republicans have to do the basics.
“We have to register voters, turn them out, make our case, and explain why this lurch to socialism is bad,” Cornyn said.
Political consultant Joe Brettell says this is about immigration and population shifts.
“You look at a lot of trends in the country right now, and there definitely are a lot of population shifts,” Brettell said.
