There’s a lot of “if’s” involved this far out, but if the dominoes fall in place there could be a tropical disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico this week that could become a tropical depression that could become a tropical storm.
It’s a low pressure system developing over eastern Tennessee that the National Weather Service is giving a 40% chance of developing into something that could bring rain. It’s going to be moving south and will meet with warm waters in the Gulf toward the end of the week. That could bring heavy rain along the coastline.
The system would form on the eastern side of the Gulf, and Florida as well as the area between the panhandle and Texas could see heavy rain.
