NASA calls Orion test launch a success (VIDEO, PICS)

As we get ready to celebrate the anniversary of man landing on the moon, the U.S. is making another move towards going back.

NASA is calling this morning's three minute test of the abort system from the Orion spacecraft a success. Everything appeared to function properly during the test, which resulted in the hardware crashing into the ocean. The Orion is the capsule designed to carry astronauts to orbit around the moon.

The uncrewed test flight didn't leave the Earth's atmosphere.
