Ford Motor Company is recalling 1.2-million Explorer SUV's and 123,000 F-150 pickups over potential crash risks.
The automaker says they discovered a defect in the SUV's that could cause a fractured rear suspension and a loss of steering control. The pickups are being recalled over a transmission issue that was not sufficiently addressed in a prior recall.
Regulatory documents show the recall will cost Ford about 180-million dollars.
